Hometown Hero: Lou Williams To The Hawks

Posted by

Every kid has the dream of playing for their home team professionally doing what they’ve seen up close while in grade school. Josh Smith has enjoyed this childhood fairytale his entire career suiting up for the hometown Hawks, he will now be joined by another prep-to-pro star from Georgia in Lou Williams formerly of the Sixers. Lou Williams according to SI.com will sign a multi-year contract with his hometown Atlanta Hawks, Williams will help to fill the void that the Hawks created when they traded away Joe Johnson. Should be fun to see the two hometown guys breathing life back into the city and hopefully pulling a more loyal fan-base down to the highlight factory. The Hawks will have Al Horford back Jeff Teague, Smith, and now Williams but will they be able to attain or possibly surpass the Hawks success in the past couple of seasons. It seems like they are still a BIG piece away from being a real threat in the East but they are one of the teams that could beat you on any given night. Should be fun to watch the Hawks with Smith, Williams, and Anthony Morrow (a GT product) all playing in the city at least we’re sure the party at LouWillVille will be crazy!
