Watch Your Step: Rajon Rondo’s Accidental Trip

The Hawks made light work of the Celtics in the first game of their playoff series. It only makes sense that the Hawks would smack the Boston in the first game after the blatant act of disrespect that the Celtics showed. By not attempting to get home court over ATL they implied that they would beat them regardless of the venue. For teams that split the season series this would seem a tad bit overconfident but when you have harden veterans who have been battle tested in the playoffs it was seen as no big deal.

Well that may come back to bite them as the Hawks not only beat the Celtics but got arguably their best player fired up enough to not only get a technical foul but also get ejected for bumping the referee after the call. Rajon Rondo tried to explain the miscue as just an accident that occurred when his feet where tangled but we’re not sure if this is the case; it seemed more like he chest bumped the ref. It will e interesting to see if the NBA allows him to suit up for game two, if not the Celtics could be headed home down 2-0 not a great spot for an aging team who was hoping to make a deep playoff run.
