When Joe Johnson signed his multi-million dollar deal with the Atlanta Hawks he put an unwanted target on his back. Media and fans both wondered why Atlanta chose to give a player who hadn’t delivered any championships such a big payday, they criticized him more for taking the money than for his play on the court (which has never been bad). Joe is probably the quietest superstar in the league, a player whose smooth game is only noticed and appreciated by other basketball players and people who like stats. He’s the most unathletic athletic player ever who dominates with his smooth handle and silky jumpshot instead of his natural gifts. Another big thing that Joe has started to do is make big shots, the same thing that people kill Lebron for and praise KD and Kobe is the very thing that Joe-cool has been excelling in since the all-star break. Don’t sleep on Joe and his vast array of skills if you do you’ll be missing one of the most skilled players in the league.
