Six games on tap last night and they were all interesting in their own way, I think it’s safe to say that with a compact season any team can lose on any given night. Their are no sure things in this day and time with injuries running rampant, back to backs taking their toll on the teams and players showing the signs of tired legs. One example of teams not showing up to play last night was the Atlanta Hawks who before last night had only lost one game, a triple overtime thriller to the Heat, at home. Last night was a completly different story when the Grizzlies came in the building and ran over the Hawks getting a 19 point road win in the highlight factory. The Knicks showed some heart and fight going up against the Bulls last night but it just wasn’t enough as they took another loss behind 30 points and 13 assist from D-Rose. When Rose is hitting his floater/one-handed push shot he’s virtually unstoppable your only hope is that he settles for his ever improving jumper. In what was probably the best matchup of the night the Nuggets went to visit the Clippers and came out victorious in impressive fashion doing what few teams have done getting a W in LA. People should respect George Karl more for what he’s doing in Denver without a legitimate superstar, the Nuggets continue to get it done consistently night in and night out despite the opponent and have a host of players other teams would love to have. I guess you can build a team on glue guy’s alone if they all are talented tough players and embrace the system but I wonder how this will work in the playoffs.
