Last Night in the League: Return of Melo

The Hawks continued their great play despite the loss of all-star forward Al Horford getting an easy win on the road against the Raptors. Joe Johnson showed why they pay him the big bucks putting a 30 spot on Toronto in typical Joe fashion ( jumpers, floaters, and fade-aways) it was deadly and efficient. The Celtics avenged a loss from earlier in the week to the Cavs thanks to a go ahead turn-around jumper from KG. The Celtics still aren’t at full strength missing all-star Rajon Rondo but the original big three has been holding down the fort so far, I would look out for the Celtics to be a dangerous team when they get healthy. The Knicks welcomed back Carmelo Anthony to the lineup and he finished with 25 as the Knicks cruised past the Pistons. Hopefully with the return of Melo, the Knicks can start to realize the potential they showed last season. The Lakers were also in action last night getting 18 points from Kobe in the first quarter tying the output of the Bobcats for the quarter by himself and putting the Lakeshow in a position to coast for the rest of the night winning big at home. Two of the major highlights from last night were produced in the Nets vs. Pacers game where the Pacers pulled off yet another victory over the  Nets. Deron Williams provided one of the most underrated dunks of the season when he went down the lane and hammered on seven footer Roy Hibbert. Check out all the highlights from last night below.
